D’cepa Art & Cuisine (La Canilla, Pueblo Garzón) – for those driving in and out of Punta del Este, this restaurant (located at the pueblo of Garzón — an hour northeast of Punta del Este, via Ruta 9) has a rustic charm (with interior décor that would fit in at Mallorca or Ibiza). With local artwork displayed throughout D’cepa’s ceiling and walls (and even its exterior dining area), patrons can order items from Galician octopus, to risotto with prawns & saffron, herbed salmon with pistachio, and chicken stuffed with rosemary polenta.
