La Romana — SHOPPING
Within Casa de Campo, the Marina shops and boutiques offer beautiful handcrafted woods, cigars and wines, unique resort-wear, fine Italian fashions and handbags, exquisite silk floral sculptures, elegant home accessories, watches and fine jewelry, some featuring 16th and 17th century Spanish coins from sunken ships! A toy store, movie theater and full service supermarket are also located here. You can even purchase furniture or a luxury yacht. In addition, there’s Coconut Mall (which has an international bank, a gourmet deli, rental cars, furniture store and a multiplex movie theatrer).
Outside of Casa de Campo shopping options are very limited and consists mainly of touristy arts and crafts and other trinkets. One such artisans market is “El Artístico” (located on the north side of Carretera Romana, Km. 3.5 There, as well as Yina Bambú shop (located on the south side of Carretera Romana, Km. 4.5).
