Mitre (Av. Abraham Lincoln esq. Calle Gustavo Mejia Ricart) – a more sophisticated newer generation restaurant located within the Naco commercial district in the western part of the capital. This restaurant appeals to college students and local yuppies. Dining options include Carpaccio of Carite (a Caribbean whitefish); salmon steak teriyaki; braised Chilean sea bass with asparagus and mushrooms; Mongolian-style tenderloin with scallions and snow peas; crisp-grilled octopus; as well as sushi, burgers, and pastas. Mitre also has a well-regarded wine bar. Perhaps to no surprise, the ownership of Mitre also has a restaurant within the Cap Cana tourist complex near Punta Cana.
