Hiroshima Peace Museum (1-2 Nakajima-cho, Naka-ku, Hiroshima Prefecture) – located 5 hours southwest of Tokyo, this museum raises peace consciousness and ensures that the A-bomb experience is conveyed accurately to coming generations. The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum provides opportunities for the visitors to listen to eyewitness testimony by A-bomb survivors and to see A-bomb documentary films.
Hours: 8:30 am – 6:00 pm (7:00 pm in August; 5:00 pm from December to February). Admission: ¥50 (adult), ¥30 (high school students), free for junior high school students and younger.
