Orchid Country Club

Orchid Country Club (1 Orchid Club Road, Singapore) — designed with the guidance of the late Mr Ong Teng Cheong, a trained architect and former president of Singapore, Orchid Country Club has a 27-hole international championship golf course that’s been subdivided into three 9-hole courses aptly named Vanda (par 36, 3,125m ), Aranda (par 36, 3043m) and Deandro (par 37, 3,197m), after the national flower of the nation.

Set in a laidback area of Yishun, it is a prime destination for business folk who desire retreats away from the hustle and bustle of the city and a solid bonding session of golf against the picturesque backdrop of the Sungei Seletar Reservoir. There are also a few eateries and restaurants which serve traditional staples from Western to halal Malay cuisine, so there’s no excuse for a growling tummy here.
